About WattRank
WattRank is an independent US e-bike ranking site. Editorial standards are the product: published specs, labeled prices, and scores you can recompute. There are 0 paid placements.
What we will print
- A spec only when a captured manufacturer page states it, with that page linked on the row.
- A price with a timestamp and a status. Sample means a catalog snapshot. Live means a provider returned it.
- An Amazon price only from the Creators API, or from legacy PA-API 5 if that mode is explicitly enabled.
- Brand and affiliate-network feeds for other retailers, never as a source of a displayed Amazon price.
What we will not print
- A guessed watt-hour figure, class, or weight to fill a table.
- A Keepa or Rainforest number as an Amazon price. Those sources are not used.
- A ride-test score. Comfort is a feature estimate and is marked partial when inputs are missing.
- Legal advice. The class note is a short map of the three-class framework, not a ruling for your city.
Rankings and drafts
Ranked lists, product pages, and guides open with a short answer taken from the current catalog, then a comparison table and five questions. The formulas sit on the methodology page. Two long buying guides ship as drafts: they are noindex and they are omitted from the sitemap until they are approved. An optional YouTube slot sits near the top of those pages and stays empty, with no VideoObject markup, until an id is added in data/videos.json.
Corrections
The source link on a spec row is the record. If that page has changed, the fix is to update the cell or mark it unverified. Affiliate links, including Amazon links tagged wattrank-20, can earn a commission. They do not buy a rank. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
