Methodology
Scores are 0–100 and use fixed anchors, so adding a bike does not rescale everyone else. They are not ride tests and they are not paid. A partial badge means a published input was missing and was left out, not guessed.
Value
Needs a price and battery watt-hours. Capability is a weighted mix of battery watt-hours (anchor 1000 Wh, weight 0.34), sustained watts (anchor 750 W, weight 0.28), torque (anchor 90 Nm, weight 0.22), plus 0.08 for verified hydraulic brakes and 0.08 for a verified torque sensor. Missing watts or torque drop out and the remaining weights are renormalized. Missing watt-hours withhold the score entirely.
Density is capability divided by price ÷ 1500. A score of 100 is a reference bike at $1000 with 1000 Wh, 750 W, 90 Nm, hydraulic brakes, and a torque sensor (density 1.5). None of the current models is that bike, so none scores 100. Sample prices make the score provisional.
Range
The manufacturer's claimed maximum miles, capped at 100. A 50-mile claim scores 50. This is not a WattRank road test, and brands do not measure range the same way.
Power
Up to 70 points from sustained or nominal watts (anchor 750 W) and 30 from torque (anchor 90 Nm). Peak watts are shown in the spec table and are not scored. A 250 W nominal mid-drive and a 750 W hub rating are different kinds of numbers; the score uses whatever the brand printed.
Portability
40 lb scores 100 on weight and 80 lb scores 0, before a +15 bonus for a verified folding frame. The total is capped at 100.
Comfort
A feature estimate, not a ride review. Starts at 20. Verified features add points: suspension fork 18, step-through 12, torque sensor 12, hydraulic brakes 12, throttle 8, suspension seatpost 10, and tire width 14 at 3 inches or more (8 from 2.2 up to 3). Unknown features add nothing and mark the score partial.
Senior fit
Only verified step-through frames are eligible. Among them, the score is scaled from a lighter published weight, a verified throttle, and a verified folding frame. It is a mounting estimate, not advice about fitness or balance.
